The Kansai region in Japan is located at the heart of Japan. Including the three major cities of Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe, the Kansai region has the nation’s second-largest economy, with a population of over 20 million and a $723 billion-GDP*.  In addition to its huge market, the area is also known as the home of world-famous electronics companies such as Panasonic and Sharp. Not only these leading companies but also top-level academic institutions are concentrated in the region. In addition, Kansai offers an excellent business infrastructure including a fully developed highway and rail network, and a 24-hour international airport. Kansai is the place which offers a business environment ripe with opportunities.
