The Kansai Bureau of
Economy, Trade and
Industry (METI-KANSAI)
thinks it is important
that foreign and
Japanese people get to
know and understand the
attraction of various
industries and companies
in the Kansai region
(Fukui, Shiga, Kyoto,
Osaka, Hyogo, Nara and
Wakayama Prefectures).
Following this concept,
METI-KANSAI conducted a
survey on
industry-related
facilities (factories,
workshops, company
museums, laboratories,
etc.) that receive
visitors and allow them
the opportunity to
observe factories and/or
have an experience in
manufacturing. These
facilities are compiled
in the guide and
organized by address and
industry.
Various people from
Japan and abroad come to
these facilities for
technical visits,
observation, field
trips, outdoor study,
job training, school
trips, and etc. In fact,
about 500 facilities
accept over 16 million
visitors a year! |
