An introduction to Kansai Technical Visit Guide

METI Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry have conducted research into industrial facilities (plants, workshops, corporate museums, research institutes, etc.) where people can study and experience industries and companies in the Kansai area (Fukui, Shiga, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Nara and Wakayama prefectures) and can interact with each other. Currently, information about approximately 500 facilities is introduced on this website.

Various people from both Japan and overseas are already visiting these facilities for many different purposes, which include industrial tourism, general tours, field trips, educational trips, tours or training sessions organized by companies, etc., and school trips. The total number of visitors to the facilities per year has exceeded 16 million. Please experience industrial tourism in the Kansai area while referring to this guide.
*This guide only introduces those facilities that have endorsed the purpose of this project and have wished to be listed. This guide therefore does not include all the industrial facilities in the Kansai region that offer tours for visitors.
