EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai
In 2025, a world expo is scheduled to be held in Osaka, Kansai. This is a national project based on the Convention Relating to International Exhibitions, and it is overseen by the Ministry of Economy,
Trade and Industry in Japan. In 2019, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Expo was established to handle its preparation and operation.

SDGs
The Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry promotes initiatives related to the SDGs through business activities as a core part of companies' operations.
This is centered around the "Kansai SDGs Platform," which facilitates interaction among diverse actors from academia, industry, government, and the private sector, as well as the subcommittee "Kansai SDGs Contribution Business Network," which aims to promote the SDGs from a business perspective within the platform.
